Christar Japan: Spreading the Gospel throughout Yamaguchi-ken... |

|
Bobby’s first contact with Japan was in high school when he began studying Japanese six years before he came to know the Lord Jesus as his personal Savior. Just a few months before his first visit to Japan as an exchange student, some friends shared that Christ sacrificed himself on the cross for the sins of the whole world and that anyone who believed in Christ was forgiven of their sins. Accepting the Gospel, Bobby became a Christian in the summer of 1999. While Bobby studied in Japan, the Lord began showing him the great spiritual darkness covering that land. Though most Japanese people are quite successful outwardly, on the inside there is a God-shaped hole that they try to fill with various forms of idolatry, including ancestor worship. Bobby’s desire is to point the Japanese people to Christ, the only One who can fill that hole. Bobby is now serving with Christar in Japan as a church planter in Yamaguchi Prefecture (western Japan). He is living and working in a town called Hirao, and desires to see a fellowship of believers established there.
