Help Wanted
Are you interested in helping to spread the Gospel to the Japanese? We are looking for short-term (2 months to 2 years) and long-term workers with a strong testimony and a love for Jesus Christ.
We are always looking for...
Church Planters
Summer English Teachers
1-2 year English Teachers
At times there are other opportunities available as well.
Here are some examples of past opportunities...
Ube Lighthouse Church (updated January 2012)
The Lighthouse Church would like to have at least one full-time church planting unit working with them to help start daughter/sister churches in the surrounding areas of Ube.
The church is also looking for work teams that would be willing to come in the spring or fall to do yard and building maintenance for a week or so.
Central Team Summer Program (updated January 2012)
Early June to early August - Cost Varies - For Individuals or Teams
Enjoy the opportunity to make contacts for established church plants as English conversation teachers and build friendships with your students. You will help organize a four-day Friendship English Camp for junior and senior high school students. In addition, you will be exposed to the culture and religious life of Japan through language study, a trip to Kyoto, weekly outings, two six-day homestays and weekend participation in national churches. There will be opportunities at outreach events to use your skills in music, drama or sports. Individual mentoring and weekly team prayer and praise times are a priority. This program can be tailored to fit college internship requirements.
Central Team Short Term Program (updated January 2012)
One to Two Years - Cost Varies
Join the ministry team of Nijigaoka Christ Church and its branch church, Hirao Christ Church, and teach English classes full-time in both locations. Relationships are the basis in friendship evangelism and these English classes will enable more contacts to be made that the national believers and missionaries can follow-up. You will also study survival-level Japanese and participate in the weekly missionary team devotional and prayer times. Check out the Japanese church website at http://church.jp/nijigaoka.
